It was a day of glitz and glamour at RV Homebase on Tuesday, as residents gathered together to watch the race that stops the nation.
The Melbourne Cup event was held in the Community Centre and included a variety of games and entertainment to keep the racing spirit alive.

Ladies Fashion on the Field was won by Trena Johnson, while Helen Louden came a close second.
In the men’s best-dressed stakes, Loris Adami won and Barry Boon was crowned with the Most Casually Dressed award.
The Ladies Horse Race was won gallantly by Sandra Mackie, white Bill Michaelson walked away with the lucky door prize at the end of the day.
RV Homebase would like to say a big thank you to Geoff Burgess for being the MC, Ross Johnson for organising the sweeps, and Ann Fellowes and Jan Worthington for setting up for the day.
