It’s been an exciting day for RV Homebase, as the first residents in Stage 8 have officially moved in.

Sarah and Warren picked up the keys to their Barcoo designed home this afternoon, travelling from Cairns in Queensland’s north to join the Village.

Sarah said their new home was a dream come true and that they could not wait to unpack.

“We feel so special to be the first residents to move into Stage 8, it’s all very exciting,” she said.

The couple sold their Cairns home in April last year, with the intention to travel the country in their caravan before downsizing. However, after staying for two nights on the RV Homebase hardstand, they couldn’t resist the opportunity to join the over 50’s active lifestyle on offer.

“There was no way I was ready for a retirement village, but RV Homebase is not that at all – it’s for people like us who are active and love to travel,” Sarah said.

“That’s why the minute we had a look around we paid a deposit and started to plan our home — and now we are here, we love it even more.”
